Kim Dembinski, DVM

Veterinarian

Kim Dembinski, DVM is a 2002 graduate of the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine.

Since coming to San Diego in 2002, Dr. Dembinski has worked in the north county of San Diego. She is originally hails from the windy city of Chicago. Dr. D is a general practitioner for pets, including dogs, cats, small mammals and birds. Its not just a job – it’s a passion! She has volunteered her time to spay cats and dogs, with the Feral Cat Coalition Spay and Neuter program. She also donates her time to Rescue House.

In her free time, Kim loves to travel. She competes in dog agility trials and pursues nose work certification with her black Labrador Retriever, Poppy. They also share their home with a demanding cat named Elvis.

Liz Gibbs, DVM

Veterinarian

Elizabeth Gibbs, DVM graduated with honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.  She completed a clinical year of study at the University of Illinois, where she met and became friends with Dr Dembinski.

She has spent the majority of her career in small animal medicine, but in her earlier years, also worked with horses. She has completed stints in emergency clinic work, as a medical director of a dog rescue group, and as a shelter veterinarian. Dr. Gibbs has a particular interest in preventative medicine, client education, senior pet care, dermatology, and dentistry.

A San Diego native, she now lives in Escondido with her family, which includes her young daughter, dogs, cats, birds, fish, and horses, as well as a very tolerant husband.

Heather Ryan, RVT

Practice Manager / Registered Veterinary Technician

Heather is originally from Sutton, MA. She is however, a California girl at heart and has lived in San Diego since 2003. She has worked in veterinary medicine since 1996. In December of 2007, she graduated from Cedar Valley College and in January of 2008 she became licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has worked in a variety of veterinary medicine fields, working with large animals, avian and exotic species, in emergency, surgery and general practice. When she is not working Heather enjoys traveling, scuba diving, red wine, hammocks, the beach and a good nap! She shares her life with her cat Ozzy.

Olivia Pham, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Olivia is a native San Diegan. She has always had a passion for helping animals. In the 4th grade, she knew that she wanted to turn that passion into a career. Growing up, she volunteered her time to numerous animal events; such as The Amanda Foundation. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in June of 2016 with a BS in Animal Health Science. There she was an active member of the Animal Health Science & Technology Association and participated in monthly pet therapy visits to the elderly.

The summer after college, she spent time traveling in Asia to reconnect with relatives as well as do charity work in the rural Vietnam. She obtained her Registered Veterinary Technician license in fall of 2016. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, the beach, wine, and chilling with her not so tiny cat, Tiny. 

Tyler Barns, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Tyler was born and raised in San Diego and has been working in the veterinary field since 2010. He graduated from PIMA’s veterinary technician program in November of 2011, receiving an associate degree in Occupational Sciences. In June of 2012, Tyler became licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Tyler’s passion’s in veterinary medicine include, but are not limited to; preventative care, client education, dentistry, anesthesiology and animal law.

When he is not working, Tyler enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, camping, and playing video games. Tyler is accompanied in his life’s adventures by his wife, son, daughter, and two dogs (Sage and Bear).

Lindsey Fontana, CVA

Certified Veterinary Assistants

Lindsey is a native Southern Californian, born and raised in San Diego. She graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with her BA in Public Relations and Marketing. After a year living in San Francisco, she decided to leave the fog and return home to sunny San Diego, where she loves getting to work with animals every day. In her free time, she enjoys getting her yoga on, going on adventures, and hanging out with her main squeeze, Brutus, a 4-yr old French Bulldog.

Mandy Saglik, CVA

Certified Veterinary Assistants

Mandy is originally from San Jose, California. She is a recent transplant and is settling in quiet nicely here in San Diego. She has been working with animals since 2006 and hopes to one day become a Registered Veterinary Technician. In her free time she enjoys spending time at the beach, working on cars, video games and taking naps with her smushed face crew of two. Ruca is a 5 year old Frenchie and Opie is a 1 year old Pug.

Wendy Morton

Customer Service Representative

Wendy recently moved back to San Diego County where she grew up and is happy to be surrounded by family again. She has previous veterinary experience and is very excited to be back in the field. She loves working at Paradise Veterinary Hospital! The amazing staff, clients and of course the patients, make this job incredibly rewarding! In her free time she enjoys volunteering at Wild Wonders Zoofari, exercising and water skiing. She also enjoys hanging out with her leash and harness trained loud mouth Siamese manx. She is committed to a spiritually and physically healthy lifestyle.
