What to expect at your pet's doctor's appointment in the time of COVID!
Here is what you can expect of a doctor’s appointment during this unusual time in history. First schedule an appointment via online or phone call. You will get a confirmation email when your appointment is confirmed. We will email you a history form 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. Please fill it out to the best of your ability and email it back to us. You can also print it out, take a picture and email it that way if preferable. If you can email it to us prior to your appointment, it eliminates a significant amount of your wait time. Also, if you are bringing in a new patient please email us any previous medical records prior to the day of your appointment. So we can improve our communication with you please let us know what form of communication you prefer (email, text, voice, etc.). Please update your contact information with us when you send us back the completed form.
When you arrive at the hospital, please park in one of the two parking spots reserved for our clients. They are right out front of the hospital and are numbered spot 1 and 2. If neither is available please park as close to the hospital as possible for the safety of your pet(s) and our team. Please call us when you are parked and tell us what spot you are parked in, the color and make of your car (ie. Honda, Toyota etc.): so that we can easily find you.
A technician will come out to your car, collect your pet and confirm the reason for their appointment. Please be wearing a mask. We will bring your pet into the hospital where the doctor will do a physical exam. Please remain here and do not leave. After the physical exam the doctor will make a treatment plan for your pet(s) and call you to discuss her recommendations. Once the treatment plan is approved via phone call (if you would like a printed copy of the plan please let us know we will be happy to provide one), we will move forward and then bring your pet(s) back to you when the treatments have been completed.
Most routine appointments will take approximately 30 minutes per pet. If your pet is sick, this time frame may be longer. Please pay online via the pet portal by the end of your appointment day, unless you are using Care Credit. If you are using Care Credit, please let us know. They require that we run the card onsite and get a physical signature.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We are all in this together and are working as quickly as possible, to see as many pets as possible, in a way that keeps everyone safe. Please be kind!
