Kim Dembinski, DVM

Veterinarian

Kim Dembinski, DVM is a 2002 graduate of the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Dembinski has worked in the north county of San Diego since 2002. She originally hails from the windy city of Chicago. Dr. D is a general practitioner for pets, including dogs, cats, small mammals, and birds. It’s not just a job – it’s a passion!

In her free time, Kim loves to travel. She competes in dog agility trials and pursues nose work certification with her black Labrador Retriever, Poppy. Kim and Poppy just added a new family member. Ruth is a black Labrador Retriever ready to take over the world.

Heather Ryan, RVT

Practice Manager / Registered Veterinary Technician

Heather is originally from Sutton, MA. She is, however, a California girl at heart and has lived in San Diego since 2003. She has worked in veterinary medicine since 1996. In December 2007, she graduated from Cedar Valley College, and in January 2008, she became licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has worked in a variety of veterinary medicine fields, working with large animals, avian and exotic species, in emergency, surgery, and general practice.

When she is not working Heather enjoys traveling, scuba diving, red wine, hammocks, the beach, and a good nap! She lost her cat to GI lymphoma during the height of the pandemic and is currently waiting for the new “right one” to find her.

Olivia Pham, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Olivia is a native San Diegan. She has always possessed a passion for helping animals and, in the 4th grade, she knew that she wanted to turn that passion into a career. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a BS in Animal Health Science in June of 2016 and became licensed as a Registered Veterinary Technician just 6 months later.

During her free time, Olivia enjoys hiking, the beach, and nurturing her plant collection. She shares her life with two amazing felines: her sassy senior girl, Tiny; and, her active black boy, Orbit.

Deanna Hirsch

Veterinary Assistant

Deanna has been in veterinary medicine for 2 years and loves it so much that she decided to go back to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Currently, she is attending her first year of the veterinary technician program at San Juan College. Deanna just recently moved to San Diego from New York with her fiancé and their Boston Terrier, Tyson.  Perfect weather and a change of scenery were the main reasons for the move, as well as finally following her sister who has been living here for the past 4 years.

In her spare time, she loves to explore new places around southern California, try new restaurants, and go to the beach or the bay.

Shellann Barton-Enge

Technician Assistant

Shellann originally hails from Oregon but has been a San Diegan since 2015. She has had a lifelong love of animals but only started working in veterinary medicine 6 years ago.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 2 dogs, Brigitte and Khiyah, and her cat Kevin. She likes taking her dogs to the beach, road-tripping, and trying out new restaurants.
